A fancy way of saying “practice what you preach” so how can I really add to this? 

I think we all know there are people in this world who see this saying, look back on their lives, and know they have tried to live their life in this way.  There are times they may have faltered but know in their heart of hearts that their soul would always bring them back to where they need to be.  

There are others in this world that look at this saying and pay it no never mind.  They go on in their life living as they have and will always do with more words than actions. 

I don’t judge these people; I just feel sad that the current path they are on in their life they are not able to see that it is not what you say that really matters but what you do that shows what is in your heart and soul.

A little prayer said for all of us that our actions show what is in our heart and soul and if we falter we know that the next step we take will lead us back to where we need to be for us.

I have always enjoyed Oscar Wilde's views on life that seem to be ever present in his writings.  I love this quote because find it is very very true. 

So often in life there are others who cannot take joy in someone else’s success.  I understand everyone's innate nature is different but I feel bad there are people out there who are not able to find the joy in what is in my opinion one of life's greatest gifts… The gift of Friends and them being happy.

Be Happy for your Friends and Family as their success should be encouraged and praised.  We don’t have to be there just for the bad… We can be there for the good also :o)

Watching the snow melt off the tress in the shining bright light of the sun I'm getting ready to go out so I can enjoy the cool winter with the sun warming I hear this song (Holding On -- Jamie Grace ) on the TV (Baseball wives on in the background...don’t judge...lol) but the melody, her voice and words are just absolutely amazing that they can work on so many level in our lives.   

The lyrics “I am joy and sadness, Peace and madness” seem to describe a lot of situations in our lives and this song really just hits the nail on the head... So thank you trash TV for giving me another song that I am able to add to my life’s sound track! :o)

I don't think I need to add anything to this saying.  Simple words but we all have this type of Friend and know that they are more precious than any of the rarest jewels in the world.

THE BRICK

This was sent to me by my Mother and knew I needed share this.  We all know it deep down what we need and should do but sometimes it helps to be reminded of it...

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street,
going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar... He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!  He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to
the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, 'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that
brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?' The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,' He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop....' With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.. 'It's my brother, 'he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help
me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling
lump in his throat... He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh
scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too
shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home..

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: 

'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!'

So yesterday was an interesting day... I went to a sales meeting were I thought I would just be there in case anyone had any questions (in regards to what I do) and it turned out that I was one of four people who received a Q4 “Wingman” award for our gov side.  I don’t’ usually brag because well I know I’m awesome so don’t’ need to rub it in…lol but the reason I am sharing is because of the first sentence of the description for why I was nominated.

Now bear in mind as I set the scene that there is another person in the company (different division) with the same name as me so when “Beth” came up on the screen I thought oh that’s nice for her. 

Then I see the presenter is looking at me… “Hello shades of red!!” is all I can say as I realized it was me that was being recognized and could feel my face turn red and well I’m sure my whole body was blushing...lol

 “Heck that’s super neat” I was thinking to myself how nice that someone thought what I do helps them out so much they would nominate me.  As I was thinking this I hear the presenter read the first sentence (see below) of what the person who nominated me wrote.

Well all I can say it that when I heard this I giggled and kind of confirmed it…lol  I won’t give you the whole “Beth is awesome” report as some of it falls under company confidential so I would like to keep my job.  I mean as I’m doing such a good job anyways why rock the boat right…lol

But below is something that when you read it and know how I am you will totally be able picture me giggling in a crowded conference room that had remote users and other sites video conferring in… Yep that’s just me :o)

Beth is quite possibly the happiest person in our Company, and is shows in her work.  GovC Account Managers keep her VERY busy with ASP requests and pricing updates.  She has the fastest turnaround time in the company.  It's nice to have a daily process that works well and is headache free. 

Now I’m going to go from the above to very tragic event and something that will never be able to make sense of but still needs to be put out there.

Monday I came into work to find out about an 11 year old girl who took her own life on Sunday.  I am not a parent so I can only empathize so much as to the pain the family must be feeling.  My thoughts and prayers were being sent out to them as much as I could because of so many reasons but the main one is I remember what it was like to be an 11 year old girl and all that goes along with that. 

Tuesday after the sales meeting I’m back at my desk talking with Meg and she lets me know who the little girl is (KW)... And yes I use the term little girl as that is what an 11 year old girl is... not a tween or pre-teen but a little girl who has so much life yet to experience that the first 11 years will seem like a drop in the bucket.  Her father works here and puts me to shame as far as being the happiest person in the company. 

He is always so nice with such a wonderful smile that no matter how bad your day is going you see him and instantly feel better.  I understand some people wear masks and who they are at work is not who they truly are but still there is something to be said for kind eyes and a gentle smile that can’t be faked.

Knowing that he is now going thru pain more heart wrenching than anyone can imagine makes no sense as far as how the world works and what each person goes thru in their lives.

I’m sharing this because of the need to express my heartfelt sympathies to him and his family but to also just put it out there as a reminder for everyone with children that children need to be able to stay children as long as possible before all the mobile phones, facebook profiles, twitter account only communicating via inter-net takes over. 

There are a few precious years that we have as children to be able to feel the earth and the sky and all the wonders around us before we start having to deal with issues that come into our lives.  I have no idea the torment this little girl was experiencing that made her feel she only had one way out but what I do know is that she is now safe and in a presence that nothing but pure true love will be felt by her. 

Prayers go out to the whole family that her spirit, her memoires and their faith that she is now only feeling love will help them thru what would be and is now a point in all of their lives that will change who they are.  I pray and hope this change will be for the good and their love for her and each other will bring them closer than ever before.

Lyrics from George Michaels Freedom!  This is what runs thru my mind when I read about all the Political goings on that are happening not just in the “Live Free or Die State” of NH but all around the country.

The reason this hits a cord with me is because if you look at the words (forget about it being about George Michael’s life) but focus on what our Political System needs to try to be.

All we have to do now is take these lies and make them true somehow: Remember the old saying “In every lie in there lays the truth”.  Well with the politicians and what they say or “promise” lays some truths.  It is just binded and bound by a system that allows its Politicians to vote for laws that affect their jobs, their status, and their pay.  Not a system where the “People” truly are thought of before special interest groups.  There is no police who are policing the police in Government at the highest level where there should be.  Everyone worries about getting reelected so they are pandering to the masses instead of standing up for what they feel is right.

I understand that we sheepeople  are to blame for this by not demanding more from our Politicians other than “what have you done for me lately” mentality but there has to be a break in this vicious circle.

Yes ok so you may not please everyone but for goodness sake at least stand for something that pleases you and go from there.

Have you ever been around someone who is passionate about something and watch how they act and what their energy is?  IT is truly an amazing site to see! 

Now look at the Politicians and how they have no passion.  Oh they might say they are passionate about one specific subject and use that as their platform but it’s not of their choosing.  It is a subject that they feel will win the most votes.

We are a society that needs to work together and you do need the infrastructure other wise there is chaos but you don’t need to police people’s “Morals” what needs to be policed would be the peoples safety. 

All we have to see is that I don’t belong to you and you don’t belong to me: I think I am definitively leaning more towards states rights as each state is different in what their people’s need and wants are.  There is something to be said for unity but there is also something to be said for individualism.  We are our own people and need to remember that our Politicians are their own people too so cannot not fix something with just a law here and a law there. 

I don’t belong to you… You don’t belong to me...   We as a people do not own our Politicians they are after all just people like the rest of us but in turn the Politicians do not own us and cannot control everyone with laws that are unnecessary and not needed as without them we can still function as a society.

Look at what each Politician is focused on... Do any of them have a plan to work with Congress and the Senate as to how to achieve what is needed?  Or is it just more of grandstanding and saying you’re the best choice but not backing up your words with any actions?

Again... All we have to do now is takes these Lies and make them true somehow...  All we have to see is that I don’t belong to you and you don’t belong to me...

I really like this quote because this theme has been coming up a lot lately in my life.  Sometimes you can't say why you Love someone other than you Love Them for who They are as You are who You are and this is how you Love.  You try to put into words your feelings but there are some emotions that just can't be expressed with words themselves... This is when you know that a Smile, a Hug, or even just an e-mail express what you feel as it is coming from your Heart... and this is who You are

CAUGHT IN A SUN BEAM

I’m caught in a sun beam and I am loving it!!  Right now writing this I am literately enjoying the sun shining thru the pine trees coming in my window and warming me heart and soul as it always does when I feel it on my skin but figuratively I am caught in a sun beam and am taking it with me where ever I go to share. 

You know how you look at some people and can see the look on their face or how they carry themselves and picture that dark rain cloud hanging over their heads.  Me I am trying to project the beam of light that I feel in me and shine that out to who is open to feel it. 
Enjoying the New Year feel still and all the possibilities that are open to me it is wonderful to shine the light on what I’m attracted to most and follow that beam.

I am the Sun being a Leo and all but it’s more than that.  It’s the warmth that the Sun represents and what I, as me would like to emulate in my life. 

I love living in the warmth of my Friends and Family and what they offer of themselves.  Not using this to change who I am but knowing that I am this way and they still love me for who that is. 

I am the Sun and will carry my beam with me for those who need it and share it with them till they are able to find their beam and shine and share it with others :)

PLEASE READ THIS!!!

TheBloggess is one of my favorite blogs to read... She is funny, random, serious, loving, and can fit naughty words in where you didn't think they could go but fit perfectly.

The link is for her post she wrote yesterday and brought tears to my eyes.  Not just because she is going thru this pain but the fact that she knows it makes her stronger and she is able to share that strength with others.  Her post is really something that applies to ALL of us either personally because we battle this everyday even if our smile is wide and our laugh is true or because someone we love goes thru a pain that we will never be able to understand but know we want to be there for them. ♥

I Choose...

The picture says it all... I choose and that gives me the strength I need to know I am living as I should be living by just being me.

MOVING FORWARD

Moving forward is two simple words that should be the easiest thing to do yet this is the hardest for a lot of us.  We know what we need to do to be where we want to be yet starting or keeping up what needs to be done eludes us.

Moving on to change your life or moving on to change a relationship are easy to do on paper and in our minds but when that plan is put into practice it can seem over whelming and frustrating when you don’t see the results when you want to see results.

For me it’s the weight loss… I know what I need to do but that impetus keeps eluding me.  I can feel it… its right there and I’m reaching out for it but keep knocking it just out of reach with my finger tips as I try to grab for it.

I am going to try something different this year… I am going to not so much reach for it as I am going to let it come to me.  I will move forward with my life and each day chose to be me.  Not what I think others want me to be.  Or who I think others will like but just plain ole me. 

I might not say the right thing or react to something how people think I should react but I will know that I am acting as me.  It is great to reach for something and push yourself but if you are always hanging on the edge trying to reach what is just out of reach then you are not able to move forward to what is trying to be achieved as you are hanging on the ledge.

Just making sure that you are moving forward I think will be the right move for me… Keeping in mind what I want and need… Living consciously will bring what I want closer to me and able to put it within reach.

Yep 2012 will be an amazing year and I know it will be as I choose it to be and will be moving forward every day!
